Who we are is because of who GOD is, and what He has done for us.
There is only one God. He is the Creator and King of the entire universe. He created us, humans, as His crowning work of art, to reflect His goodness. He made us to live in perfect harmony with Him and all of creation. He gave us everything we needed to live and thrive.
But He also gave us the freedom of choice. We could choose to live within His loving reign as it’s explained in His Word to us, the Bible. Or we could choose to live life on our own. We all choose the latter many times every day. We don’t trust His goodness. We think we need something more. We try to be the King.
That’s called sin. Sin spoils God’s perfect creation. It drives an insurmountable wedge between us and God. Living life apart from our Lifesource leaves us spiritually dead.
God isn’t content to let us stay in our sin. He passionately pursues us with an everlasting love. He loves us so much that He sent His only son, Jesus, to pay our debt of sin. Jesus died for us and rose from the dead, victorious over sin and death. Now, He invites us to accept this free gift of grace.
He extends this offer of grace freely and abundantly. He longs to restore us to where we rightfully belong – in intimate relationship with God. We only need to accept that gift of grace and stop trying to live life apart from Him. When we do, He gives us new life, and we now get to play our part in the story of God.
No matter where you are on your spiritual walk, we invite you to journey with us. We all have questions and doubts, and that’s ok.
Once we accept God’s free gift of grace, we are made new creations with new identities as God’s people. Everything we do flows out of this.
We are disciples: we follow Jesus and walk in His ways
We are a family: because God our Father has adopted us as his children, we are the family of God
We are saints: because God has made us right, we are no longer sinners but saints in His eyes
We are ambassadors: because God is the King, He commissions us to be His ambassadors and share His love with the world
