Travis Hamm has served as the Campus Missionary for Impact since 2008. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a vocal music performance degree in 2007. At NWSU he served as a student leader with the Baptist Student Union. After graduating he felt God calling him to a career making disciples of college students. He moved back to Kansas City to attend seminary and helped launch Impact Ministries in 2007. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Divinity, emph. Collegiate Ministry, in 2011.
In 2016, Travis took on the additional leadership roles of Missouri Collegiate Strategist with the Missouri Baptist Convention and the Kansas City Collegiate Ministry Strategist. Despite the addition of those new roles, he is passionate about continuing to see the campus of UMKC impacted with the gospel of Jesus.
He and his wife, Britney, and their three children live a block from UMKC and love being involved in the lives of college students.
Kyle Yehle joined the Impact leadership in 2017, after graduating in the spring with a sports media degree from Northwest Missouri State University. Like Travis, he participated in the Northwest BSU during college and was unsure of a future career after graduation. While he continues to decide that, he moved to Kansas City to help Impact grow on the UMKC campus for the 2017-18 academic year.
His fiancé, Kayla, is also a Northwest graduate and lives in Lee’s Summit. Their wedding is set for Nov. 5.
